About Us

Where Values Take Root

About AARANYAKK.

We are a freshly opened preschool and daycare where our focus is on holistic development of a child, rooted in traditional values. ‘Aaranyakk’, the Sanskrit word, means ‘forest dweller’. Here at Aaranyakk, our vicinity surrounded by greenery on three sides as well as our huge windows give the feeling of being imparted knowledge in the midst of a forest. Moreover, our focus on values and traditions makes our ‘sprouts’ ready for not just the letter, but also the emotion. At our school, we nurture children to become well-rounded individuals with academic proficiency, environment-consciousness, and deep respect of elders, society, and the values that contribute to responsible citizenship.

Our Vision

To nurture a generation of joyful, compassionate and confident learners who grow in harmony with nature, embrace lifelong curiosity, and carry forward the values of kindness, integrity, respect and responsibility as they shape a better world.

02

Our Mission

At Aaranyakk, we create a safe, joyful and inspiring environment where every child is encouraged to explore, discover and learn through meaningful experiences. Guided by nature, hands-on learning and holistic development, we nurture each child’s intellectual, emotional, social, physical and creative potential. Rooted in Indian values while embracing progressive educational practices, we strive to cultivate independent thinkers, empathetic individuals, environmentally conscious citizens and lifelong learners who are prepared not just for school, but for life.

OUR PURPOSE

Aaranyakk grew from a simple yet powerful dream—to make meaningful education accessible to every child. Decades ago, our founder began this journey with a free pathshala beneath a banyan tree. Though short-lived, the dream endured, and today it has blossomed into Aaranyakk.

Inspired by the Foundational Stage of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, we believe the first five years build the foundation for lifelong learning and development. We are committed to making these years joyful, purposeful and enriching through nature-inspired spaces, experiential learning and meaningful relationships.

Rooted in Indian values and guided by progressive educational practices, we nurture curious minds, compassionate hearts, confident individuals and environmentally conscious citizens—preparing children not just for school, but for life.

A Word from the Founder

Dears Parents,

More than fifty years ago, in 1972, I sat beneath a banyan tree in a small village and watched children pass by with bright minds and eager hearts, yet with little access to education. I could not ignore what I saw. With whatever resources I had, I started a small open pathshala beneath that banyan tree, offering free education to any child who wished to learn. There were no classrooms, no elaborate facilities—only a deep belief that every child deserved an opportunity to grow.

The initiative was short-lived. Financial constraints eventually forced it to close. But while the pathshala ended, the dream did not.

I made a promise to myself that one day, when circumstances allowed, I would dedicate my efforts to spreading the light of knowledge and self-reliance among the children of our country. Over the years, that dream continued to grow, eventually taking shape in educational institutions built with the support of my family. Yet my vision was always larger than academics alone.

Nature has been my greatest teacher. A tree stands strong and independent, yet gives endlessly to the world around it—shade, fruit, beauty, and the very oxygen that sustains life. I have always wished the same for our children: that they become self-reliant individuals who also enrich the lives of others through kindness, wisdom, respect, and compassion.

Today, that vision finds its truest expression in Aaranyakk.

A child absorbs values much like a sponge absorbs water. While education can begin at any stage of life, the values nurtured during early childhood often remain forever. At Aaranyakk, we strive to cultivate not only curious minds but also thoughtful hearts, helping children grow into capable, compassionate human beings.

What began beneath a banyan tree as a simple dream has today blossomed into a whole van (वन), at our preschool, Aaranyakk, where we nurture our ‘sprouts’ into becoming tall ‘mighty oaks’.

And that, dear parents, is what Aaranyakk is all about.
